Free People is the brainchild of Dick Hayne and family who launched the first official FP collection in their Urban Outfitters store in Philadelphia in 1984. The collection was designed to invoke some of their favorite images, those of femininity, courage, and spirit. In 2001, Free People shed its junior image and evolved into a more mature, contemporary brand. This allowed all women to appreciate the line of clothing that catered to their intelligence, creativity and individuality, while keeping with its great quality and affordability. Free People has always had and continues to have a bohemian flare. Mint Julep loves Free People!
